Incredible! I should never have doubted the value of Lady Violet’s gift.The royal guard notified me that Lady Violet and Prince Baiyu were away on a secret adventure which might take some time. I visited the farm every day to make sure everything was in order. On the third day of their absence, the earth and seas were filled with golden light, and illusory golden lotuses fell from the sky like rain. It was one of the eighty-eight Grand Celestial Omens! A slight and fleeting breath of a strong qi infused the Ancient Hill Forest.
This was later identified as "heavenly qi" that drifted into our world from a higher realm.
Everyone who could absorb this qi meditated as much as they could, and dozens of my local clan members made breakthroughs.
Thankfully, since everyone knew we all should meditate in silence and isolation, no one bothered me throughout the entire time the omen was active, which allowed me to keep it a secret that Lady Violet’s lucky charm absorbed a great deal of the heavenly qi.
I’ll keep it hanging on the cradle until my child is old enough to use the qi inside the lucky charm.
