Chapter 305: Unknown Ship

Chapter 305: Unknown Ship

The damage on Damian’s torso was not the worse of his problems. That was something he did to himself, and it would heal without many problems.

In fact, his torso was healing pretty fast, but the burn on his arm was way more problematic.

After killing the hellhound, Damian hid its body to make sure no one would see it. He buried it.

It was time to return to the camp where everyone was, and when Damian got there, the girls looked worried.

"What happened? What type of monster was it?" Elena asked.

Damian explained the monster he saw, and the girls were shocked with the hellhound’s power. The only one that was giving Damian a strange look was Elrandir.

Elrandir was a powerful mage, so he knew about blood magic and how forbidden it was. He couldn’t be certain that what he saw was in fact blood magic, but with time, Elrandir was confident that he would find out the truth.

"What about this wound on your arm?" Elena asked.

She was worried, but Damian calmed her. The wound was hurting like hell, and its healing was slow, but at least it was healing. Damian knew it was only a matter of time before he was 100% again.

Each one of them returned to their tents after taking care of that beast. Damian was worried.

’The underworld lord is sending creatures after me... Was it a coincidence or does he know where I am?’ thought Damian.

The underworld lord was someone that Damian would have to worry about once he entered that last dungeon floor. But things were not as he expected, and the first hellhound appeared to get him.

With the pain and the uncertainty, Damian had a hard time sleeping. He woke up feeling more tired than he was the other day, but they had to continue their journey.

The good news was that nothing bad happened during the last days of their journey on land, and they reached the city called Coast Sea. It was the place where they would get a ship and sail to the archipelago, their destination.

Elrandir was the one who knew more about that, so he was the one leading. He had some contacts in the port.

They passed through the city, seeing the numerous shops on the streets. Coast Sea was a famous place for merchants, so the things people sold there were exotic.

"Triton Testicle!"

Damian blinked a few times, and he looked at the others who had similar expressions.

"Did I hear that? What the fuck?" Damian said.

That was indeed quite exotic, and scary at the same time. Anyway, despite the numerous shops, they didn’t stop for a second and went straight to the port.

Elrandir traveled through it as if the map of the place was on the palm of his hands, and it didn’t take long for him to meet up with a strange man in an alley.

"We can get you a ship in three days," a hooded man said, "Can you wait?"

They had traveled for a long time, so waiting three days was no problem. Not many people traveled to the archipelago, so the crews willing to go there were scarce. Having to wait three days was actually less than Elrandir had expected.

"No problem," Elrandir said, "We can meet here in three days."

All they had to do was wait three days, and nothing else. Well, things were not always so easy for them.

The first night was nice. Damian managed to sleep more as the pain on his arm was basically gone. The arm still had that burned look, but it was not hurting, which was a win for him.

But during the second night was when the problems started to arise. They were in the second floor of a tavern, each one of them inside their rooms.

Damian was the only one outside because he wanted to get some fresh air. That’s when he heard a commotion downstairs.

"Did you see these people?" a person said, showing a portrait of Damian and the others from his group.

The person who showed the portraits was not alone.

’Fuck. How did the authorities track us here? We covered our tracks!’

It was no longer Officer Kane and the weak guards, but powerful individuals who were there to hunt them. Damian was happy that he had managed to see them before they went upstairs to look for them.

With quick movements, Damian went to Elena’s room to warn her. He did the same to Elrandir, Cassia and Nessia. Everyone was as shocked as he was.

Elrandir checked the people following them, and he said, "They are powerful. It is wise to avoid combat with them."

Damian had the same feeling. So, they grabbed all of their stuff, which was not much, and left the tavern through one of the windows. They didn’t make any noises, and because it was night, none of the guards patrolling the city had seen them.

"Where can we go? They will look everyone for us," Damian said, "They have drawings of our faces."

While Damian had the power to change his appearance, that was not the same for the others.

"We need to go inside one of the ships," Elrandir said, "I can see there’s one leaving right now."

The only problem was that they had no idea where the ship would go, and they would have to stay hidden.

"Is this our only option?" Damian asked.

"Yes. They will not leave the city, and this is the only place we can get a ship. If we go inside one of the ships here, we can later take over the crew and go to the archipelago ourselves," Elrandir said.

That was a risk move, but it seemed like the only option. So, they moved toward one of the ships that was ready to leave. Damian utilized his Telekinesis to make everyone fly, and easily got inside the storage of the ship.
